| I've been talking to a few people, students and instructors. Some schools only teach 30 minutes and most are 45 minutes. I don't think a class that is only 30 minute long is valuable to the students...other than "it's better than nothing" reasoning. What do you think?

I teach 45 minute classes at my club, but when I train it's for about 2 or so hours at a time.

| Adam, do you include stretching and warm up in your class? Some schools I've seen don't do it and expect students to be warmed up and stretched before they hop in the class.

Scott (7/4/2006) Adam, do you include stretching and warm up in your class? Some schools I've seen don't do it and expect students to be warmed up and stretched before they hop in the class.I have only had my club for 5 months now. My students are not quite ready to warm themselves up yet. Once they reach bule belt, and I start an intermediate level adult (family) class then I will allow them to do so. But do between 10 and 15 minutes, and it really cuts into the training time.

| Hi adam. For me, even 10 minutes of warm up would be great. Doesn't matter what rank. It makes sure that students are somewhat ready for the remaining time of the class.

At my school there is at least 30 minutes of warmup and then a full hour of technique.
Take the hit, don't give a ****
