Hey all. I'm planning a Kidsafe/Self defense seminar soon and I'm doing it in conjunction with the Ellis P.D. (that's Kansas for those wondering). Anyway, I was looking for some ideas to help out with this. I have many of my own already, but it's alwaya helpful to gain as much input as possible. If you have ever done anything like this before, I would greatly appreciate any advice/suggestions you may have.

There's PEOPLE in KANSAS??!?!?! J/K

Seriously, the common "Stranger Danger" theme works out for kids as first precaution.  Self-defense of kids when fighting adults isn't really practical...but helpful to boost confidense and defend against bullies.

Speaking of Bullies, I got my *** kick once in grade school by a bully but I wasn't the shy one to retaliate.  Maybe do research on how to handle bullies.  I was watching a show one time on tv showing all these kids who are afraid of the school bullies.

Yes, there are people in Kansas, although we are outnumbered by the deer, turkey and pheasants. Thanks for your input, I really appreciate it. I'll take you advice into consideraition.
