This is a question mainly for those who are aware of Kung Fu's internal arts...

....are there any breathings exercises that heal or empowers the body or gives it stregth?  I've heard of QiGong having mystic energy.  What do you think?

I'm a newbie in the martial arts.  Does this really work? Or more of a myth?  Not sure if myth is the right word, but know what I mean?

Marco, its mostly just a bunch of hocus pocus garbage created by many westerners to give their "arts" a sense of oriental mystique. Althought, Chi ( Chinese) or Ki ( Japanese) have several useful components. Its the charlatan and snake oil salemens that convulutes this concept !

It's only hocus pocus if you don't believe in it.  I don't really believe in them personally, but I feel it its really up to the individual.  I think its all in the faith, just the same way as people believe in their "God", which supposedly gives them the strength.  But, I believe protein and nutritional drinks plus training gives me the strength

Bottom line is, if you believe it whole heartedly, you can make it happen.  The body is an amazing thing.  Look at Master Joon Rhee.  He's stronger and better fit that most teenages and peopel in their twenties!

Well, you can't heal with your chi.

Those are on the TV but there is no such thing.

Chi can help you to prevent damage to your body when you are hit, but not healing your damaged body.

Practising Chi Kung is good for health too.
